Nick Hector is a DGC, CCE, HotDocs and multi-Gemini Award winning film editor and Genie nominated producer.Nick has cut more than 20 feature and 100 TV documentaries. His work has been screened at festivals around the world – including The Museum of Modern Art, Berlinale, Sheffield, and Sundance.  Some of Nick’s numerous credits include Allan King’s Dying at Grace and Memory, Gunnarsson’s Air India 182 and Force of Nature, David York’s Wiebo’s War, and Yvan Patry’s Chronique d’un génocide. Most recently Nick edited and co-directed the award winning series War Story for History TV.  TIFF 2014 features Gunnarsson’s Monsoon, Nick’s ninth film to be screened at the festival.

Nick is a member of the Canadian Cinema Editors honours society and a member of the Directors Guild of Canada.  He is a citizen of Canada and the UK.
